The historical Building

The historical building of the Royal Thai Embassy at no. 26, Phan Boi Chau Street is built during the French colonial era between 1894 – 1930, as accommodation for the noble Vietnamese. The two-storey building is of the mixture of French and Chinese architectures with a courtyard and a spacious front garden. A small pond and stone decoration are located in front of the building. Four pillars are used to support the building, with thatched roofs and ceramic tiles. It has decorative patterns in the corners of the room and carved wood at the corners of the door. Mosaic are used for decorative patterns and Chinese characters.

The front façade of the historical building is decorated with 2 replicas of the elephant on the Ambassador’s flag.
